        She was interned at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, having taken refuge there during World War II, and was handed over in 1944 by the German Government to Naviera Aznar as compensation for the sinking of Monte Gorbea. She was renamed Monte Moncayo, navigating mainly on the regular lines to the United States. She was sold in 1954 to Marítima Madrileña, who renamed her Tajuña. On 11/December/1957, she grounded at Mazarrón (Murcia) during a storm, when she was anchored waiting to load ore. The damages were extensive, so she was scrapped atCartagena during the following year.
